Terms of Service

Last updated 14 October 2026

These terms are an agreement between you and [the legal name of whoever runs Idea Court] (“we”), who run Idea Court. By using the site or buying credits you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the site.

What the court is

Idea Court is entertainment and a thinking aid. AI models argue for and against an idea, AI jurors vote and an AI judge rules. The models do not look anything up and can be wrong, out of date, or confidently mistaken. A verdict is not legal, financial, medical, or professional advice. Check the facts and use your own judgment before you act on anything the court says. You are responsible for the decisions you make.

Who can use it

You must be at least 13 to use Idea Court. To buy credits or a membership you must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian’s permission and have them make the purchase.

Credits and prices

Membership renewal and cancelling

The membership renews automatically every month and charges the card you used until you cancel. You can cancel at any time from “Manage or cancel membership” on the site. When you cancel, you keep your membership and remaining monthly credits until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again.

Refunds

Your account

You need an account to buy credits, made with your email and a password or with Google. Your credits belong to the account and can be used on any device you sign in on. Keep your password to yourself and use one you don’t use elsewhere; you are responsible for what happens on your account. If you forget your password, use “Forgot your password?” on the sign-in page. If you can’t get back in, email ideacourt-support@googlegroups.com from the address on the account and we will try to help, but we cannot promise to.

Using it fairly

Do not use Idea Court to:

We may refuse a case, or suspend an account that breaks these rules. If we suspend an account for a reason other than misuse, we will refund its unused purchased credits.

What you type and what the court writes

Your ideas stay yours. You give us permission to send what you type to our AI provider to run the trial, and nothing more. You may use the trial record however you like. Because AI models write it, others may receive similar text, and we make no claim that it is original.

Changes to the service

We may change, pause, or stop Idea Court. If we stop it for good, we will give at least 30 days’ notice on the site, stop renewing memberships, and refund unused purchased credits bought in the 12 months before.

No warranty and limits on liability

Idea Court is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent the law allows. We are not liable for decisions you make based on a verdict, or for indirect or consequential losses. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of [US state], United States, without regard to its conflict of law rules. This does not take away any protection the consumer law where you live gives you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for material changes we will say so on the site before they apply. If you keep using the site afterwards, the new terms apply.
